January brings our first new winner and this time it's 'Heartstone' by C J Sansom that takes the trophy.
"Summer, 1545. England is at war. Henry VIII's invasion of France has gone badly wrong, and a massive French fleet is preparing to sail across the Channel ...Meanwhile, Matthew Shardlake is given an intriguing legal case by an old servant of Queen Catherine Parr." A fantastic read!
January is also a time to think about how things are going and we've decided to make some changes here at The Book Awards. First, we want to make it easier for you to vote and remove the need to send votes by email, so we'll be addressing this in the weeks ahead. We also want to refresh the website and so this too will be a priority, although we intend to continue as now until we're ready.
There will be a few days delay before the website is updated this month but in the meantime, Happy New Year !
