The Book Awards winner for May 2010 is 'The Lovely Bones' by Alice Sebold.
I was about to shy away from this story which on the surface appeared a little gruesome for my taste but I'm very pleased I looked further and experienced the world as 'Susie' saw it. A very popular winner.
The Book Awards are now on Summer Holiday until August but you may continue to nominate and vote for your favourite literature as we'll do the arithmetic on return.
